Year 5 Fire Service visit

Monday 10th February 2020

On Monday, the Hampshire Fire Service visited our Year 5 classes. The children were told about keeping safe in the home and about the importance of smoke alarms. Children also discussed the possible risks of certain items they may have and how they can minimise the risk of any danger. They then drew themselves an escape route from their house and watched a video of just how quickly fire can spread. The key message in the event of a fire (however small) was 'Get out, stay out, call 999'.
